How do I add a video to my Moodle course using a label?

Answer

1. In the My courses page Turn editing on

2. Click on Add a resource or activity

3. Click on the Label icon

4. Type the word Video in the Label text box

5. Highlight the word Video and with this highlighted click on the link icon in the tool bar

6. Paste the URL of the YouTube video or other video source (optional: checkmark Open in new window) then click on Create link

7. Scroll down and click Save and return to course

You should see an embedded video on your course page. When the student clicks on the video they will have the option to make it full size.

If your video does not show as embedded (you only see the word video...) Go back to YouTube, click on Share, and copy and paste the link shown in the Share a link dialog box. Use that link in step six above.

*You can also add a video link within your course page.

*Here's a short video explaining a similar process.
