How do I add a participant as a mentor in a course?

Answer

1. Under Participants, click the pencil icon next to the user you want to add as a mentor

2. Click the drop down arrow to see the roles you can apply to a participant

Add as a student (they can read whatever the students can)

The other options are:

Non-editing teacher (they can grade assignments, and have access to the grade book, but do not have editing privileges)

TA without Grades (they can grade assignments, but do not have access to the grade book, and can help edit the Moodle course)

3. Click the small Save icon under the drop down menu after assigning a role
